Possibly you have arrived here as you have been asked to serve on the committee of a UK charity or you may already sit on the committee of a charity.

If either of the above are true it’s also extremely likely that the legal responsibilities of charity committee members have not been fully explained. Often because the charity’s management don’t know themselves or, more likely, it to be of no importance.

We hope this site will give some guidance on the responsibilities your role entails.
